3D ANIMATION

Everyone knows the "Satisfying Instagram Loops" I made one of my own using sounds found on the Internet and this render made In Cinema 4D.

A meme Parody on a "Better Call Saul" meme, that I made yesterday with the Head of my classmate. I tried out blender too for the first time with this animation.

Another "Satisfying Instagram Loop" This is just a simple one with a semi-realistic Sushi Roll.

TCAT

Introduction

TCAT has been one of my longest running clients. I Made a total of 3 Animated Music Videos for his Music Channel (with probably more to come.) He's a Producer from Australia, and a real nice dude who I always Enjoy Working with.

Undone - TCAT is the biggest Animation I have ever made, with over 4.5 minutes of animation this was quite the challenge, but very enjoyable to work on nonetheless.

GENEMO Is a client who Ordered My second biggest Music Video of all time. He is a Producer from Austria.

FUN - GENEMO was a pretty big project with the Animation being over 3.5 minutes long, I spend 6 weeks working on the whole video. This was made during the first Lock-Down in 2020

After My EP was dropped I decided to Stop making songs and Videos for my own Channel and Open up my Commissions for other musicians. After half a year I had made about 20 Commissions and stopped to prepare for my Current Study on Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam.

Introduction

I've Made many Assignments for My Study, but these are the 2 I am most Proud of. The First one because of the End Result, and The Second one because of the Process.

Discovery Assignment: Animation

We had to turn a Story Provided by our teachers into a 30 second Motion Picture. I decided to add some Parallax Camera work in it, to give it more Dept.

Exam Assignment: Explainimations

For the Exam we had A Total of 12 Hours divided over 3 Days.

The Process

I First always make a Mind Map to come up with Ideas, and I then gather Pictures for my Mood Board.

After that I work on some ideas, and then I Create a Style Frame to keep as a guide for the whole Video.

Then Its Time for the most Important part for creating the whole video story: The StoryBoard

Hi, I'm Tim.

My love for Animation started at a young age when I got introduced to Cartoons like:

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender

  • Gravity Falls

This later bridged over to Adult Cartoons like:

  • Rick and Morty

  • Final Space

Me actually Dabbling in the world of animation only started after I wanted to create something that I could combine with my biggest hobby: Music.
And after getting inspired by the amazing Band: Gorillaz.
It was then, 5 years ago, that I made my first Animated Music Videos for my Lo-Fi Hip Hop channel: Mr. SadGhost.

    What Now?

    After having worked mostly in the Music Industry these past years, I'm currently working on getting an Internship for my next and last year of school.
    Eventually I want to work in the TV business, both for awesome Cartoon Studio's and for my own Projects.

    THE WORST EXAMPLE

    The Worst Example, my Band, is one of the biggest personal project's I've worked on. It has spanned the full 5 years that I have been active as a Digital Artist. It all started with our first Logo Design.

    Logo Design

    This later Transformed into the Logo that we still have till this day.

    Albums

    The Albums were always one of my Favourite pieces to work on. It directly translates our music into
    Visual Art. Besides the art for the album itself, there's always a ton of other Graphic Designing that comes with it, like: Social Media, Branding, and Merchandise.

    Coming From Age (EP)

    Coming From Age is our most recent and biggest release, we spend 6 months preparing the release before the 23rd of March 2021 came around.

    I created different Instagram Posts for the announcement, A post to Announce the release, and the Album Artwork as a CD Mockup

    For YouTube, 5 individual Animated Visualizers were made all with their own Caption. And for the YouTube Page, as well as for Spotify, a banner was made to dress up our platforms in the current Theme.

    Merchandise

    Before the Release of our Second Single: Join The Cult we wanted to create Merch that represented the Current Era in the band, but also a piece that represents the Band in general

    In that fashion I created our First Official Band T-Shirt, And Stickers. (fun fact! The T-Shirt design was completely made on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with a stylus back in the day)

    Lastly I also created some Hand Embroidered Hats with our Logo in 2 versions, It takes quite some Time but it is really Fun and Therapeutic to do.

    YAËL'S BAKERY

    Yaël's Bakery Is the Remote Bakery of my Colleague and Friend: Yaël. She wanted me to help her with a Logo Design, after that was done I also helped her with a Business Card.
